Laserblast...

Here is another for the childhood movies section... I have to note that when I first saw these things I had a much more open mind to the ridiculous and impossible. I remember telling my Dad how the incredible melting man was scientifically possible. He just looked at me with this look of how in the world I was scientifically possible.

This one is called "Laserblast" (yeah, all one word) and is about his kid who finds a left behind laser gun from this weird alien race that looks like turtles without shells.

My favorite scene in the movie is where he blows the hippie out of the van.
